http://www.amazon.com/SYLVANIA-2825-.../dp/B00AIJY2ZM my main question is will I have any issues with Heat coming off the LED bulbs ? thanks for any help !! Also will I get a light error on my dash ? Last edited by coupegt; 11-02-2015 at 12:22 PM.. |

Where do you expect to install this bulb?
The only location this bulb type will fit into is the reverse lights on an LCI E90. If you truly want to replace your DRL, assuming that the bulb you linked to is the correct bulb size, 1W will NEVER be bright enough for DRL use. (And to answer your question, 1W is not enough to melt any of your lighting fixtures. Once you get past 55w, then you start to have issues.) On your model year (if it's a pre-lci) you will lose your inner, flash to pass high beams if you replace this bulb with the equivalent of what you linked to. My recommendation: Get a HALOGEN bulb in the color temp you want and install that. You will still have a usable flash to pass high beam. |

I think there is confusion because the DRL is typically not the same as the parking light.
That bulb should work as a parking light replacement, though I cannot comment on your question about heat. DRLs are usually the high beam bulb used at a reduced wattage for DRL, and full wattage for high-beam or flash. Now it is possible to get the car coded to use parking light as DRL, but as mentioned, it won't really be bright enough for that use.

My post above applies only to pre-lci halogens.
