LOL... I know. The detector, detector, detector, undetector detector. Ha
For the Radar to go off the cop does not have to be pointing directly at you. Since Radar is on a much broader frequency it's more likely that your detector will pick up reflections from other cars, signs, etc. For Laser, the cop pretty much has to be aiming right for you - chances are you're toast anyway if you get hit with laser... BUT there are those helpful laws of physics that could allow a stray laser aimed at someone else to come through the windshield or reflect off something ahead at just the right angle to warn you. Laser difusers are not illegal, though. I believe it has something to do with the fact that the government cannot govern light. |

I just got the Valentine1 on monday and went on a 500 mile road trip yesterday -- I LOVED the direction arrows (I think that this feature is patented by V1)... The direction arrows really let you know wether the threat is coming or going and it made it easier for me to locate the speed traps! Now I just have to figure out how to hardwire this into the car.... Any suggestions of where I can get this done in San Francisco?

I just want to know what color the 12v wire is so I can hardwire it. All our cars have V1's.
