Did you really pay that much? It's a 10$ cable FYI. Cables are one of the biggest scams out there in the technology industry. You can buy that exact cable for 10$.

No offense to the OP, but like O-cha said, cables (digital cables at least) are the biggest scam in the industry. Component video cables are an entirely different animal, where silver solder and shielding actually DO make a difference (but that's a whole different thread in itself).

I'm willing to be that this cable I got from Monoprice (I got the 6' version for 15 bux ) is as good, if not better constructed than any cable on the market now. In the HDMI world, all the cable sees are "1's" and "0's" and no one cable is going to transmit that better than the other.



www.avsforum.com is a good place to read up, so you don't get ripped in the future.
