BBS LM or CSL reps

50th coming up in April. Would love BBS but worried about kerbing. Is it impossible to correct the chrome rim?

In what way do you mean 'correct' ?

As im sure your aware anythings possible

Can always get them re-chromed, polished, painted or if genuine split rims - new barrel

It's very possible to repair kerbing on a split rim dish.

However, if you're looking at CSL reps, you're definitely also looking at BBS LM reps too.

I'm not sure on the polished alloy lip of a rep.

I did mean reps. The CLS would be relatively cheap to put rite. I'm just worried the BBS rep would be much more expensive to sort if curbed
Thanks but won't be buying till April

Dont do it.

Even if you dont kerb them, stone chips and generic roadrash will damage the laquer protecting the polished lip and it'll start corroding underneath within a year or two, leaving nasty white marks under the laquer.

Happens to them all, only a matter of time. Even OEM wheels suffer from it.

Cheers for that. Got AC Schnitzer's now, they have a machined face. Been quoted £155 per wheel to get them sorted properly. Don't want go down that route again

You would definitely be looking at expensive repair cost's reps or not

To get a perfect finish again on the rim would be triple the labour if not more than a normal wheel......

EDIT: unless you painted the lips ? which defeats the purpose though :-(

Ironically where it's cheaper to have genuine split wheels rather than fakes.
