need a new mp3 player
Somewhere around 40-50gb memory, don't need it to do anything besides play mp3s, it's going to sit in my car pretty much all the time.
I'm currently using my (android) phone but the audio jack on it is messed up so the cable is kinda loose and the sound quality suffers horribly. Ideally something like the ipod classic, but they're frikkin $600 now that apple's discontinued them. |

Save the receipt.
I tried an iPod classic, generic MP3 player, upgraded MP3 player, and finally had to get an iPod touch before the car recognized the device and read the playlists. |

I don't need the car to recognize anything, I don't have idrive. All I'm doing is plugging an audio cable from my phone to the jack in the center armrest, and letting my phone handle the actual music playing.

I love iPod Classic and actually grabbed a couple used ones off of Amazon. They're about the price of a new one back when Apple still made them, but worth it to me. I hate dealing with all the touchscreen crap when it comes to music, and it's perfect for the car.
Edit: especially with just an audio jack, as you can just hit the next or back button quite easily without having to look down. Touchscreen you've got to wake it up, look where you're hitting, etc. |

I have a second gen iPod touch and I have no problems with it. Use it for riding either bike, driving the car, and right now in my office.
I've tried others, but nothing has had a consistent battery like my iPod, and I'm not even a fan of Apple products. |

Just get a cheap MP3 player that takes a SD car and throw a 64gb SD card in it.
http://www.amazon.com/Kubik-Player-R...s=creative+mp3 This with the SD card will cost you $50 out the door. And if the aux jack on your phone is messed up, you could just switch to a blu tooth adapter and wireless stream your music from your phone to the car. http://www.amazon.com/SoundBot-Bluet...=car+bluetooth |

http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1174946 Works great. Sounds way better than bluetooth and dont have to deal with plugin anything in. |

yer, nice big screen handy if the eyes ant the best, you could mount it on your dash, ''if you don't have a heads up display'' you could always go for an iPhone 6 128gb swell.
