MHD cannot flash a map to the car in under a minute, which is pretty important to me when I drive across Texas and need to switch fuel maps at a gas station in the middle of the night. I can display all of the parameters I'm interested in monitoring, perform easy high speed datalogging, and I can simply work with an E-tuner for a protune. I have no regrets in purchasing the Cobb over the MHD.

MHD does all the logging and real time monitoring COBB does. Plenty of guys are doing custom tunes over the internet. Maybe you dont understand what MHD is? |

My bad, I was thinking the MHD was more like OFT flashing. I was mistaken. Still, I do not regret purchasing Cobb. I'm familiar with the platform so I trust its capabilities. Lots of monitors that I can actively and accurately follow, which is pretty important to me. Not a fan of gauge hijacking. Maybe in the future I will try the MHD, but for now I'm pretty content with Cobb.

If you already have a decent DCAN cable and a android OTG capable device it's a no brainer. You'll take a hit on your Cobb if you sell it but it still has some value, get it while you can. I had a Procede on a previous car which turned into a $700 paper weight.

I bought the Cobb used so it shouldn't be too much of a hit. And I can be patient with the sale since I can really start the MHD at any time. I've got an LG G4 so I would imagine it shouldn't have any trouble with OTG capabilities. May order the cables tonight.

The OpenFlash Tablet I was scared was going to leave me stranded with a paper weight.. but luckily you can sell those across platforms so I found a BRZ guy that wanted it pretty quickly.

My best advice is to buy proven cables. The otg isn't critical but save yourself trouble and buy the actual cable from Bimmer software or similar. Amazon and eBay are hit and miss.

For me, I bought Cobb like 3 years ago and I'm too lazy to switch. My car has been pulling like a champ safely with no issues why switch
