Warranty company wants to replace failed injectors only
So I have 3 failed injectors - 1, 2, and 4
They gave me the ultimatum that they'll only replace the injectors that physically failed. They will not honor bank replacement, which is what is required for the "update" to index 12 injectors. They claim that because the 12 index injectors are incompatible with the current injectors, that is BMW's fault and they're not responsible for the cost associated with updating the non-failed injectors to the current revision. I can't just replace 3 of them as you can't use 10 or less index injectors with 11/12 injectors. So that's out of the question I have 3x 07, 2x 06 and 1x 09 index. I could always move the 3 working injectors to the second bank and replace the 3 injectors on the first bank with the replacements, but then I'd have to wait for the 2nd bank to fail to replace them all. Anyone have any advice on what to do?

I can see both points of view. If they won't budge then moving all of the old style injectors to the same bank is certainly an option. Some people claim they've mixed old style injectors with the new style with no apparently ill-affects but I wouldn't risk it. Perhaps you can work out a deal -- you buy 3 index 12 injectors from Rock Auto (around $350) and they pay the labor to install them along with the three they're already replacing.
