Question How to find out BMW service history information in UK?

How do i go about finding the service history information from BMW in the UK? I have already contacted BMW and they said to phone their premium rate number 09062090001 charged at £1 per minute. Is there a cheaper way and would i be able to get a service history book stamped if it has been serviced properly?

Thanks in advance for any help.

P.S Posted this in the warranty forum but was advised to post it here.

And my answer from that thread still stands!!!

Unless you know which dealer did the servicing, BMW UK are the only people who can help you. See if you can get to speak to one of the UK Customer Service people - they might be more willing to give you the information without going through the premium rate line.

My point about UK-related topics is that it is best of posting here rather than the main US forum... I didn't necessarily mean you had to repost though!!

lol sorry. bit of miscommunication there.

anyway ive tried to get onto the customer services and all they just do is just repeatedly give me the premium rate number. if i provide my number plate, can anyone try giving them a ring and see if they can get any further info?

Garage List
2020 BMW 330e  [0.00]
You coud look up who the supplying dealer was by looking up the car registration plate for the area and ringing round the dealers in that area.
It would only work if the supplying dealer also serviced the car.

For e.g. my supplying stealer is BMW Rydale in Brum but I have used Wellsway, Dick Lovett and Williams Manchester

TBH its easier to ring up that premium number

I managed to find the dealer who serviced my car. Now all i need is a service book so i can send it to them. I know its a long shot but does anyone have a service book for BMW that they could possibly give me either free or at a reasonable price? I thought i'd try here before ebay.

The Dealer would supply a new service book at very small cost.

6 years too late mate... Only joking, there's several people on eBay claiming to offer this service for small cost.

When I bought my 335i I just rang my local dealer.
The receptionist looked up the history and told me the dealers that it had visited and their contact details.

I rang each one and told them I was buying the car etc and they gave me the details of each visit (what was done, mileage and date)

+2 to what Dann said. When i bought my 335i and my 325D this is what I did, mainly to confirm the history was legit to be honest!

When i bought my previous one, i had some info saying that i had been into BMW Newcastle - phoned them up and they sent me a copy of the bill for the (only) service that it had. Just keep going with the detective work.

I only had to have the pinion swapped out and have it regreased shortly after that... when it should have been done under warranty but they kept rejecting the claim by the previous owner.
How have you found the service at Spire? Im down the road in Pinner and its my nearest dealer that I will probably use for my services.
