Cross threaded strut end HELP

Hello guys I purchased some used KW V2 Coilovers for my e92 335i, one of the rear shocks bottom stud is slightly cross threaded on very tip, what should I do to fix this? the nut will go in on a slight angle if I force it.

you can either repair the thread with something like nes tool

or re-thread it completely to use slightly smaller nut or different pitch nut.

I don't like the heli-coil route on this repair.

I re-threaded one of my rear Konis, exactly same issue, got them new...
