I swear I searched and read a couple of threads and I still don't understand what kind of connector/spade to buy and from where.



We broke the black (female) spade, just like the one in the above pic.

I understand you can buy the part at radio shack. I don't have the piece anymore, it fell in the engine bay...

What and how do I do it?

Man people are snapping these things like crazy. Terry uses switched power right, whats he use I don't hear any of them snapping anything.

What broke is a bmw part. We can send you a replacement on Monday. Just fill out a tech callback request from the website. When you reinstall it, please refer to the instructions and slide back that black tape wrap that holds the two orange wires together. You did not do this. This is what put tension on the joint. With that wrap I'm place, its only a matter of time before one of those terminals break

I don't mind paying for my own mistakes. Would you be willing to post the part numbers? Others have posted numbers but not which part is for which wire.

I need the orange wires male connector on the BMW side.

I need the big connector for the power wires on the Procede side.

Last time on a thread you said to PM you if there were problems. I pm'd and never heard back.

If we knew what the parts were we could run across town to an auto parts store and grab them saving you and your staff time. So I would ask if you could provide the part numbers for the bmw pieces and a description of the connector type and size to look for the proceded connectors.

If you don't want to do it, please just say so and I will invest the time to figure it out.

Orb, I saw the part numbers, but the BMW dealership is too far. I was hoping to buy one from a hardware store.

Here is what orb posted. It would be great to know if this includes everything on both the bmw and procede sides? Which ones are for which colored wires? Does the below include the connector for the orange bmw wire, and the big power connector on the proceed side for the red wires?

Female Connector:
The mating BMW female for that pin is 6113864832. Note that the part numbers on all the pins is one digit part fo all pairs of the same wire gauge. The pin you got is just as good as this is a fairly generic pin style.

You'll need a crimp tool if you just source the terminals from the dealership. What we will send you is a wire with the terminal already crimped on it. All you need to do is cut off the end of the broke wire and join this new wire up to it (with solder or solid crimp). Just remember to remove the black tape wrap per the instructions or it will break again.

That's cool, I have a crimp tool. I still am not sure which part numbers are for which wires. It would be great if you would take my post above and map the part numbers to which wires they are so I don't have to order them all to make sure I get the right ones.

Honestly, I don't know the part number off hand. And i won't know it until I call the harness manufacturer on Monday. And you will require a special crimp tool to crimp it properly. Otherwise it wont go back into the original green connector if you need to put it back to stock for whatever reason.
