Thanks to everyone above for the suggestions, headlight seems to be free of condensation.

It has been raining steady all day, car driven a couple of times and no issues. Definitely going to perform a cleaning of the cover seals periodically and make sure the headlight gasket is in place and in good shape.

Thanks Again!

Cleaned seals on both caps and mating surfaces on light housing. Seals on covers seemed in good shape and cleaning the surfaces regularly will become routine.

Replaced both gaskets ($10.00 each) on the top of the headlights. Was missing the one over the driver side which is were I had the issue. The one on the passenger side seemed a bit flat and the tab nearest the grill was deformed and deteriorating. New gaskets were definitely a needed change.

Expecting rain in the next day or two, will see how this holds up. If the issue persists will change the covers with new ones.
Sorry to hear that the vacuuming didn't help you much. It worked for me although it was really the passing of time that cleared things up nicely. I drove to work this morning with a steady downpour. Still don't see any condensation so I think mine was fixed too, fingers crossed. If not, I'll just re-think my silicone strategy. Maybe apply more if anything.

Nice! Good to hear. How much were the gaskets?

Thanks

Gaskets were $10.00 each, Dealer had to order.

Ordered mine at the dealer since I was taking it in for service the next day. Ordered and they arrived while I was there. I installed my self as I wanted to make sure to clean all surfaces prior to installing.

On older models like e39, e53, e46 there were drains on the headlights for this purpose - not have the lights fog up. If the drains got clogged, then one could experience this issue. I haven't pulled a e9x light off, so I am not sure if these have or not some sort of vents for this purpose, but if they have, then the vent holes should be unobstructed.

man these lights look sick. What brand are they and where did you order them from

What can be done for the e90 headlights? I have condensation and it eventually fried out my smc (for the adaptive module). I have a spare module but before I do that, I'd like to tackle on the leak.

What should I do for the e90 headlights?

We just had another storm and after a short drive my headlights were fogged up again! This is becoming really frustrating...I avoid driving in the rain when I can because of it.

I hear there is an access port on the back of the head light too. I can't seem to find it.
