Limp mode

Hey guys

First time post
Getting these codes when my 2011 335i goes into limp mode.
1)ECU
2)P2C01

I reset it and clear the codes but they keep coming back.

Prior to this I had other codes which haven't showed up

ECU
P2F7C
P2F7B
P2F76
P2EFE
P2F02
P2EFF
P2F03
P2EE0
P2EE4
P2EF1
P2EED

When I start driving and the car goes into soft limp mode. I haven't been driving the car for atleast two days since all this.
I'm seeing only PC201 code and car oil temps are halfway between 180 and 250, it doesn't move past that, normally its around 240.
Maybe its the electric fan or fan thermostat or some sensor, I did see those codes little while ago. Waterpump and T stat were changed few months ago.

Hey bud, 2C01 is a high pressure fuel pump (hpfp) code, low pressure.

High pressure fuel system, fuel pressure:
0x2C01 Minimum pressure undershot

ok thanks man.
Not having any fuel pump symptoms like no hard startups or long cranks.

would this be still related to the fuel pump?

Could be a sensor, I'm not too sure man sorry I haven't dealt with the issue myself, so I have no experience with it.

82k miles. Aftermarket FMIC, CP, exhaust, ran Cobb stage 1+ aggressive when this startted to happen, came down to Cobb Sport and still same, uninstall still same.

I can have the HFPF replaced but looking at other Limp mode posts, it didn't seem to resolve.

Plugs are NGK replace 10k miles ago, Injectors and Coils are still original.

Hi!

I just had this happen to me and I got all the same exact codes as you did. It's your injectors. I'm positive it's your injectors. Your codes our identical as mine and I kept going into limp mode. I had mine replaced with spark plugs it was $3500.

good to know. How did you figure it was the injectors and not HPFP even though the code is for latter.

I had two different BMW dealer run some test. It was giving me that same electrical fan code. I mean your codes match up to the ones I was having. If it was your HPFP. You're idle would be uncontrollable to the point were you couldn't drive it.

Seems HPFP went bad even though it didn't have rough idle or bad cranks. Some folks cured their WOT problems by just replacing the HPFP.

Were the dealerships pull codes on the fuel injectors?

The misfires are probably due to an issue with the fueling.

Talking Help

I got the 2C01 code recently, does that mean I gotta replace my fuel pump. Will that most likely fix the bad reading the sensor is getting from the pump as well right? Sorry for the noob question anything helps
