JB4 G5 and MHD backend flash running pump map. Not passing inspection because my Evap and Cat is not ready.
I understand the MHD flash takes care of the SES the catless dp and in my state you can pass with one monitor not ready. My question is why is the Evap not ready? I've done over 20 drive cycles and each morning I cold start and let it idle for 5 min. Gas is between 1/4 and 3/4. Temp has been between 50-60. Any other suggestions??? |

I'd put the tune to stock and JB4 to map 0 or remove it.
1) Start cold engine and idle for approximately 2 minutes, 10 seconds. This checks secondary air injection and evaporative leak detection systems. 2) Accelerate to 20-30 MPH and maintain steady speed for 3 minutes, 15 seconds. This establishes closed loop oxy-sensor operations, response times & switching times. 3) Accelerate to 40-60 MPH and maintain steady speed for 15-20 minutes. This evaluates catalytic converters while oxy-sensor response and switching times are checked. 4) De-accelerate and come to a stop. Idle in gear for 5-6 minutes. This checks evaporative leak detection system. Remember: The diagnostic checks above will be discontinued if: 1) Engine speeds exceed 3000 RPM 2) Large fluctuations in throttle position 3) Road speeds exceed 60 MPH Below is the PDF: http://www.europeantransmissions.com...0Procedure.pdf The above was posted in another thread. Maybe it will help. |

Yeah I've been following that for the last 3 years of doing the test with the dp fiix. Tried that cycle so many times.
Still no matter what no Evap. Can I install the dp fix with the MHD or does it need to be uninstalled? Also rediting the Evap portion sounds challenging to a noob like myself haha since my flash is one of the jb4 MHD maps not custom |

All you need to do is disable the JB4 auto clear and flash to MHD map 0.

Didn't touch anything for a while and my car was EVAP ready. Unfortunately I accidently cleared the codes and back to nothing be ready lol.
So I guess EVAP is not turned off in the tune? |

Whats disabled for evap? Anyone know the detail? I'm having the same issue need to pass emissions this month. I keep getting the 2a15 code (dmtl pump, leak detected). I replaced the pump with a brand new one and still get the code. If I disable the code will that allow evap to become ready? Please help.
