Awesome Suspension Mod - Cutting OEM Springs!
Not really but since no one else gave me an answer on my other thread I figured there would be some people who would read this one and want to bash.
I have Ast coilovers and on vorshlags site it says not to reuse either of these rubber covers at the ends of the springs in the rear. But many other install vids they says to at least reuse the bottom one. What has everyone else done? PART 8 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=33_1263 |

It will depend on the spring style. For OEM springs both top and bottom are a must because spring will not sit right. Some aftermarket are flat sitting springs and can be mounted with out the rubber pads.

I used Swift thrust sheets with my rear setup, on both ends of the spring. No rubber bushing as the springs sit flat on the lower arm. |
