E93 Bulb Replacement
Hi guys,
I'm trying to replace the two brake and the reverse bulbs in my E93 M3 with LEDs (pre-LCI). Below is a picture of the unit, I can see the indicator bulb is easy to replace, it just twists out from behind but the other 3 bulbs are a mystery to me- I've never seen them before and they don't seem to twist out or pull out (at least not without enough force to maybe damage the unit). Anyone got any experience with these or can identify the bulbs? I'm sure someone on here has gone for LEDs without going LCI. ![]() |

I accidentally broke off the reverse bulb thinking that a new LED would twist in. Wrong. Had to get a new unit. I did replace the rear turn signal to LED. However I had to "code" the car to tell it it was an LED and to not do the voltage test. (See Carly for BMW). Finding an LED bulb to will NOT throw error messages is tough. Forget Sylvania or Philip LED bulbs, full errors. And E93 bulbs are not the same as E92.
