I was under the impression that hood pins SHOULD be run on carbon fiber hoods.

I would almost bet these are the original hood struts, I read that the M3 ones are better suited to the lighter weight.

Currently on my car the body shop has just one stock strut installed. It feels fine by touch. Doesn't seem like there is a lot of pressure on the hood and it opens and closes like it should. But I don't want what happened to you to happen to me lol

I know Seibon recommends hood pins on all their CF hoods for this reason.

If you don't want this to happen, run hood pins.

You left the stock struts on or did you swap them out for the M3 struts? If you didn't that was just bound to happen.

Will that suffice for carbon fiber hoods?
