I was under the impression that hood pins SHOULD be run on carbon fiber hoods.
I would almost bet these are the original hood struts, I read that the M3 ones are better suited to the lighter weight. |

You left the stock struts on or did you swap them out for the M3 struts? If you didn't that was just bound to happen.
