Successful Partout and some Cheap people.

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I had a very successful part out of my E89 Z4.

Thanks to everyone that bought from me. I have shipped everything that has been paid for and I either shipped same day or the next day and most everyone should get their parts soon. I managed to sell about $9,000 worth of parts in less than a week.

However, I have become very irritated with selling my BMS Oil Cooler Valve.

Let me just clear that air. I did not part out my car because I need the money. My 30k Z4 is paid for and I only parted it out because I was ready to move to something different and plan to buy a 2012 Z06 within the next few months. I also wanted to give other N54 owners the opportunity to get good parts for a reasonable price.

I priced all of the parts that I was selling so that it was fair to me and for the buyer.

However, I continue to get stupid offers for this BMS Oil Cooler. I am not interested in selling it for half of what it sells for and it is not a part that can go bad. It is a piece of aluminum that replaces the thermostat. No moving parts and it is not something that can break. It is no different than a new one from BMS except that is it cheaper.

So, I am not selling it for cheaper than $40 and I will ship it to anywhere in the US for that price. I used it from May until September this year and it is in new condition. I am not desperate to sell it and I will keep it as a memento before I give it away. $40 is 33% cheaper than you can buy it new.

If someone wants to offer me $40 then is it yours.

Carry On.

DUDE!!!!

I was just thinking to myself, what happened with your turbo install and any updates. Then I saw you sold everything in a week!!

Sorry to see you go man, but the Z06 is a great ride. Are you looking for power? Any regrets?

Best of luck!

Jake

The turbo install went great and the Pure turbos are high quality and a great product. However, these cars require a lot of attention when you start throwing 600whp at them and I just got tired of it. I decided that it was time to move on to something else.

I got my car back to stock yesterday and I can't believe how quiet it is. I became used to it being much louder. I also can't believe how bad the stock suspension is in the Z4 either. I only used the stock suspension for the first week that I owned this car and I have been on KW V3's ever since and I was spoiled. The KW coilovers transform the Z4 and I cannot imagine owning one without doing something to the stock suspension.

Anyways, I am looking forward to getting into a big V8 without having to screw around with E85. I plan on adding some headers, xpipe, CAI and Akrapovic exhaust shortly after I get it.

I agree on the suspension upgrade was one of, if not my favorite mod.

I was hoping to hit high 400whp on 93 with a little e85 for my daily( FBO w/ inlet + outlet), and an e70 for track days. 600whp seems a bit much for street, especially in NYC. Plus the stress of "whats going to break next" at that level.

I have a feeling you won't be able to stop at those Z06 bolts ons you mentioned. Once you're bitten by the bug its hard to stop. One of our friends builds a muscles car every year, and sells it off once its done. The joy of modding is greater than actually using the modded car sometimes.

Unfortunately, this is probably true. My average for keeping a car seems to be about 3 years so we will see. I have to say though that this Z4 has been my favorite car so far.
