335i diogs not working?

Ive got my 335i in the garage to look at an overboost code.

My mechanic called me and told me that when he connected his fault reader to the OBD, he was unable to take any readings and the rev counter kept shooting up and over revving even though he wasnt doing anything.

He said he used
Texta
Auto com
and Bosch Launch to try and read the codes.

When I connect my phone to JB4 i can read codes fine.

Should I map JB4 to 0 or something?

JB4 has to be in map 0 for OBD port readers to get in. It's written on their site.
