Gas pedal will not work when brake pedal is pressed.
Hi, this problem just showed up yesterday.
I had a problem with the throttle body freezing, so I took some carburetor cleaner and cleaned it. (there was some buildup around the edges and a bunch of white gunk on the backside) After I did this, I found that heel-toeing was harder, so sitting in an AMC parking lot, I found that if I bring the RPMs up to 2000 and I hit the brakes, the car will cut the gas. Any ideas on what might be causing this? I unplugged the battery overnight and still nothing. |

Ha. I had the exact same problem after I changed my oil pan gasket. Eventually got SES, pulled codes and turns out I left my MAF unplugged. Did you disconnect yours to clean throttle body?

I did, but I could swear to god I plugged it back in! Looks like it's time to go find out 😂
Edit: went and checked it, I didn't have it plugged in all the way! Thanks much for the help Last edited by g852grant; 01-14-2016 at 03:46 PM.. |
