Is there a free 1 year subscription of SIRUS?

I leased my 330i two months ago and I have the sirus ($950 option). I read it somewhere that I get 1 yr of free sirus subscription? Is that true? How do I activate that? Thanks all.

im not sure. i now its 1 year free of BMW assist if you get the premium package though. you might be confusing the 2.

why is it $950? But yes, it's free for one year. I don't know how to activate it though

I only paid $550 for the sirius option. Your 1 year free subscription is already paid for, all you have to do is activate it by going to the sirius web site, putting your radio on sirius and choosing channel 184 (I think, its the weather channel).

Hey 330south, so can I activate my 1 yr subscription on the web?? or through the channel 184 (what buttons do I press)? I do not have a Nav.

You need your radio ID number. Than call up Sirius and let them know you bought a new car and has sirius with 1 year free. They will know once you give them the radio ID number. That's what I did. You might have to be in the car when you call them up.
