E90 DAB Retrofit Antenna to Sharkfin
I have recently had a Dension DAB+U retrofit DAB system fitted into my 2009 E90 which has the professional i-drive. As part of the install the installer have fitted a standard DAB window mount antenna which is ok but I don't think they pick up DAB signals very well and every often it cuts out.
Is there anyway you can wire the antenna direct to the shark fin? I have seen DAB splitters which suppose to tap into your existing arial so you then don't need to use a window antenna. But I don't know how good these are or if there is any other method I could do to improve the signal?
