I'm looking at getting a new 335i sedan, but right now I'm having a bit of a delimna in wether to buy it here in Hawaii or wait until I return to the mainland. My question is how have the roads out here affected your car overall, i.e. ride quaility, rattles or any other such things that tend to become problems on Oahu's bumpy roads. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

The roads are like this everywhere, not just Hawaii. As for rattles, my car doesn't rattle. I hope this helps.....

Another thing is that BMWs are over priced here on Oahu. I bought my car in San Fran under the ED program, and it was $10,000 cheaper than the same car setting on the lot in Honolulu. I'd say buy it when you get back to the Main Land. But that's just my .02 cents.

I guess each person has their own opinion, but I personally have never seen any state with this many bad roads. Don't get me wrong, all states have sections that are bad, but Hawaii takes the cake when it comes to the overall worst roads.

well are u speaking of the road to hana in maui? now thats not a car-friendly road let alone bus friendly

No, I'm pretty much speaking of the overall road conditions in Hawaii period.

Either way, it doesn't matter as I was unable to fight the buying bug and actually bought a 2008 E90 this past week. I absolutely love the car and have enjoyed every minute I get to spend driving it. Even the daily commute is a joy. to BMW!!
