Base stereo: Aftermarket HU + amplifier + aftermarket speakers questions

Hello guys, after lots of hours reading I still have questions remaining before spending more money. I have no electrical knowledge and that’s where it goes wrong. I have the most basic audio system possible (no tweeters):

1) I bought an aftermarket headunit. Sound quality stayed the same with the unit but I can boost the bass a little bit more though. DSP should not be present with this unit.

2) Line outputs to the amplifier:

Now let’s assume I still have the stock headunit:
I found these cable trees on the internet for E9X. http://www.snijders-qcs.nl/gfx/shop/ppql-2ch-5m_l.jpg + http://www.snijders-qcs.nl/gfx/shop/ppql-4ch-5m_l.jpg. If I wanted to add an amplifier to amplify front speakers + underseat woofers, would I need the 2CH or the 4CH version? The audio shop tells me that I would need the 2CH version, as the underseat woofers will be amped seperately. Does that make sense? Can you amplify 4 channels with just 1 RCA cable?
Also, would using this cable tree require me to pull new wires to the speakers or is that solved? Is it like HU->Amp->HU->speaker with these cable trees?

Now let’s assume I use the aftermarket head unit:
This headunit has following outputs:

How should I wire it up? Add 1 RCA cable or 2? Use a splitter with only 1 RCA cable?

OR ALTERNATIVELY, Can I use the cable trees from above, even on aftermarket HU? I would prefer this as I would not need to pull new wires to the speakers?

3) The amplifier; I knew I still had some amps lying in dust somewhere and I found one that could possibly serve:

Could I use this in my E90? It looks very decent and is 4x150W. Would I need to use the Low level or high level inputs?

4) The Speakers; I have a set of speakers in mind, that will fit. I will need to order tweeter holdings. I would want to buy GLADEN ONE 200 BMW, consisting of 2 mid's, 2 tweeters and 2 underseat subs
This question is very related to above questions. Do I need to pull new wires to the speakers coming from the amplifier or can I use existing cables somehow? How about the plugs on the door mids?

Additional: In my base audio system; fronts and underseats are connected parallel. How do I unparralel them? Just don’t connect the unseats’ original wires? Or do really I need a jumper?

My main question is: How do I wire all this up using as little wires as possible?

Thanks in advance!

I will post my review in the Eonon thread once I have used it a little longer, to be more neutral about it.

First you need to under stand the base system.

First you need to under stand the base system.
The floors and the doors are wired in parallel.
And the speakers are pretty much crap.
So get one of the aftermarket BMW three way sets that replaces
the front doors and underseats. (From Jehnert or Gladen)

http://www.e90post.com/forums/attach...1&d=1411521234

I amplify at least the front doors and under seats with a 4
channel amp.

Where the parallel connection is made depends on the year of the car I believe . Sometimes its in the kick panel and other times it at the under seats.

With Technic's 2/4 stereo harness, does it require routing new speaker wires to the front doors?

I've got hold of technic's 2/4 stereo harness(used)and looking to amp the front doors speakers and underseat sub separately(4channel amplifier)

Current setup:

Dynavin D95
Front/Rear Individual speakers, tweeters, and crossover
L7 underseat sub (not yet installed)

My question is that do I need to run new wires to the front doors or use the 2/4 harness as speakers output for the amp?

Many thanks!

They only reason you would have to do new wires

They only reason you would have to do new wires
into the door panels is if you wanted to go active ( separate
tweeter and midrange channels ) or if
you are running more than 150 watts .
The technic harness is setup to use and amp for the under seats
and front doors he also makes one that will run the
rear speaker from and amp.

You need the 4/6 to separate the channels.
You would have to modify the others to separate the channels
shouldn't be that hard.

Thanks for the reply!

I thought that 2/4 harness is for 4 channel amplifier to amp the front doors/underseat subs...the rear speakers are amped by the Dynavin (4x45w)
Not a fan of fancy audio system, just wanted to improve the sound quality a bit and hope there is an alternative way of hooking everything without having to get 4/6 harness!

Many thanks

If you read Technics links apparently not all his

If you read Technics links apparently not all his
Base system Harnesses separate the floor and door speakers.
But is shouldn't be that hard to make them do that by using
a jumper plug at the underseat connector and running another
set of wires to the trunk . The wires that go to the trunk in his
diagrams are the red ones seems to be in the first and last
2/4 and 6/6 .

Just a note. I am currently looking at the same thing.

I contacted Technic and they said the technic harness only works with the OEM stereo

So i think if you want to amp the speakers you will have to tap into the speaker wire inputs for those speakers which are on the cars cable which plugs into the back of the headunit if that makes sense?

Thanks, mate!
Will give it a try since I've acquired all the hard wares(technics 2/4 harness, amplifier, x2 Individual sub, and etc) and if everything goes well, I'll let u know the outcome!
