Guys. Finally got a hold of the mercedes 10L (2.5 gal) OEM DEF / SCR fluid and can confirm it mates perfectly with the MBUSA filling hose which mates perfectly with the Kruse fitting on the car. No spills and no cutting. And best of all it's refillable with bulk DEF!

Got them from ECS tuning

Perfect, thanks! I believe the 2 liter DEF bottle for 2012 VW Passat TDI fits perfectly as well and can be refilled.

Thanks taibanl. This is by far the best....most convenient, most spill-proof, and most economical...way to refill (without overfilling) the DEF tanks if you're filling more than 2L at a time. Looks like the 10L jug is becoming difficult to get so I would order one ASAP, refill when you need to but keep and reuse the jug.

I looked high and low for that Mercedes DEF jug. At the Mercedes dealer near me they had an old one used for coolant, but the new ones are the wrong size. I ended up modifying that hose to fit the common smaller opening DEF jug (the cap from a standard 1 gallon coolant bottle fits perfectly). But I have yet to test my setup as my car has not asked for DEF in over 25K miles. (That's a whole different issue.)
