Disable Interior Light On When Removing key?
Really annoying this. Can it be done? I like the interior light to come on only when the door is opened or when I turn it on.

BUMP. I *hate* this "feature". (I hate it enough that I am planning to swap the overhead bulbs for coloured ones that will be less bright.)
Like you, I would much rather have them not come on at all unless I hit the overhead switch. |

If you hold the center dome light button for the front for 30 or more seconds it will disable the lights coming on unless you press the button.

Just a follow up on this. Trying to code the interior light not coming on when the key is removed.
Ive noticed when the headlights are not used, the interior light will not come on when you remove the key fob. It will however come on after you have had the headlights on. To reset the interior light (after the headlights have been used) to not coming on again, you have to have opened and closed the drivers door and then have started the ignition or engine with the headlights off. There must be a way to code this out. Maybe by somehow telling the interior light part that the headlights are never on. I dunno Im not into all the coding stuff but Im sure someone could do it. |

That does stop the light coming on when the key is removed, but it also stops the light when you open the door. We want that part, just not when the key is removed.
