I haven't done anything with it yet. I was just stating off the specifications of the kit so Bob can give me a better answer on what I should do.

Here is how I mounted my pump.
Had to recess the mount in the bumper for clearance. Welded and tapped Pump mounted Bumper mounted. I really like this install, but it will be a pain in the A$$ if I have to do any maintenance to the pump. I will have to pull the bumper cover to do anything. As far as meth use, I am running about a 440cc nozzle for now. Meth starts at 22psi boost. and maxes out at 30. I am using the windshield washer reservoir, which is about 1.5 gal. I know I have gone through at least 3 fill ups without my low indicator coming on. This will be changing, as I will be adding a second nozzle or getting a single in the 880cc range. |

![]() Methanol is a fuel that combusts faster than diesel. It makes more power per unit of energy at high load and rpm (better conversion). It extends AFR by decreasing smoke limit. Injected in the air stream it displaces air and cools it. Intercooling effect and oxygenation tends to be stronger than air displacement loss. Water is just a coolant. Injected in the air stream, it increases soot. Emulsified with diesel it does not increase soot. It has a high heat of evaporation and liquid to gas expansion ratio. This means water takes heat out of the combustion process and effectively turns it into pressure. It slows down the rate of combustion. You like to use air as a coolant. For the same HP level, you must use more of the engine's power to push sufficient air. Internal Mean Effective Pressure must be greater and therefore greater stress must be put on the engine. Unfortunately, the control of water and methanol injection is not well thought out by the industry. Implementation of control is even worse. On the other hand, diesel fuel control is infinitely better. Given present circumstance, any preference to pump up the boost and sacrifice some ultimate HP in exchange for control and reliability, seems to be a reasonable compromise. On the racetrack, the compromise may not be acceptable. Further, you are typically making a custom system so the issues of store bought solutions is not relevant. The best in pulling really are scientists and clever fabricators. If you look at the data logging these folks are doing, it'd pretty hard to call it redneck. They develop their cylinder heads on flowbenches and model their camshafts on a computer. But, I get what you are saying. It is homegrown, not going to come from Amazon.com. To some, redneck means trial and error, with a lot of error. That is not how the best do it, not any more. With the exception of F1, I'd put these folks even with anyone in motorsport.
