LCI Rear lights on Pre-LCI
i am looking to fit the lci rear lights on my pre-lci e92. i have noticed a few kits on ebay. are they the best way to do this? i know i'll need a wiring adaptor and the ebay kits have them included. i'm always a bit weary buying things on ebay so if anyone can give me some information that would be great!

I know there are some OE equivalent kits out there that some have fitted. They tend to come with everything required to plug and play.
I went down the OE route as I got the rear light clusters with the purchase of the car luckily. If going OE you just need the wiring adapters (which can be bought from the dealer for about £30).

You can buy the complete kit from BMW but may be quite costly.
I know secondhand they sometimes come up on here and M3cutters. eBay has a few sets of genuine rear LCI light cluster sets at about the £450 mark at the moment. All depends how much you are willing to pay and how long you don't mind waiting.

I was lucky and managed to get a brand new set of ULO LCI's from ebay for about £300, bloke in Ealing had about 100 boxes stacked up in his living room! bit of a gamble but they worked fine. Think they are genuine / OEM, they even had the BMW logo's and part no's scrubbed out. Not sure why.
Bought the LCI rear LED retrofit harness x2 from BMW for about £25 and had them fitted up in no time at all. Also had to do a bit of coding to stop the bulb warning lights from showing. One of the best mods I have done to mine, make the car look so much newer. Before: After: Last edited by alex-qts; 02-16-2016 at 06:30 PM.. |

I've done mine with no issues.
All you need to do is code the bulb warnings out! It's an over looked mod but once you've done it, it freshens up the car so much. What are you planning to pay? |
