320d oil leak 57reg
Hey all
I am new to the forums and would like some help. I bought a e92 320d automatic 57reg coupe about 5 months ago and it has a oil leak at the top front of the engine. I would like to know if this is easy to fix and if i need to buy a gasket. I want to do this myself but ive been advised to be careful due to torque settings etc.. I have attached a picture. Thank you |

320d oil leak 57reg auto
Hello I have uploaded some more pictures.
I went to a garage today and they advised that it might be the egr valve. Before the oil leak got bad it looked like it was leaking from the join where the metal bits bolt together. What this is part? and if I need to buy a new seal any idea on what its called? Thank you |

So I took the car to a garage and they have said that the edr valve could be the cause of the oil leak. I don't think it is. After my own investigation I think its the egr cooler. where it joins onto the engine.
Before I bought the car I was told that the timer chain snapped and it had been replaced. I think that a seal maybe missing or something. Any ideas? |
