i-drive question.

I have had my car for a month now and its great. the only thing that bothers me are the cash cow tactics in favor of the stealership. Like no fuse info, or battery location in manual .

Anyway I was wondering if it possible to turn off the i-drive screen while driving I mean really turn it off completely so no power is going to the screen and also can you turn of the radio or the cd player cause It just seems like you can pause?

I dont know about sending no power to it, but if you are on the selection screen (the one with nav entertainment communication and w.e the other one is cant remember this moment) you press the I drive knob down like not slide it press it down and it will take you to like the settings page and either the first or second setting is turn display off. Hope this helps

Give it a try, you will find that CD does not spin when intertaiment is on sleep mode/pause. Sleep mode if Off!

Pull out the fuse, that will kill the power. Use trial and error to figure out the fuse.
