Valve cover gasket????
So had a few drops of oil under my car and went to go inspect and this is what I found.....
No smoke from exhaust= not turbo seals Not on driver side of engine bay= not oil filter housing Stock 2009 335i e90. Cobb stage 1 aggressive tune. Here are the pictures Last edited by Jewel's335i; 02-10-2016 at 11:32 PM.. Reason: Addding |

I have taken it off and from what I can see all around from about the vanos down and not really anything on the driver side of the engine. This engine sits at an angle towards the passenger side so it's safe to assume it's the valve cover?

It's the oil pan gasket.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

I'd agree with the pan gasket but there are no pictures with the acoustic cover off.
So without seeing that hard to make a good guess. But any leak you have to find from the top down and work that was as well. Check along the bottom edge of the valve cover where it meets the head on the passenger side and see if you see any build up. Shouldn't have to take anything off just grab a flash light. |
