Anyone attempt to get BMW to reimburse for towing for a HPFP Warranty Replacement?

As the title states?

My HPFP is failing and dealer is 22 miles away.

I'd call BMWNA, and make sure you have a receipt for the tow to the dealership. I'm not sure what they'll do.

Garage List
Good reason for AAA or BMWCCA membership.

My SA said towing is not covered for the HPFP Warranty Extension.

I might just call BMWNA in the morning to check.

My ext warranty only covers to $50 and the tow is $120.

Not a biggie though.. It's only $70 but I thought I would ask.

This or check with your credit card company. I have a Chase Sapphire premium card and they do towing like this:

Driver comes to you for free
Hook up is $60
First 5 miles hooked up are free and then the usual rate per mile (still lower than what tow companies charge)

Why can't you drive with the bad HPFP? I drove mine for like 200 miles.

It would buck and die within 5-10 seconds.

It was inoperable.

Even if it was hit or miss I would have to travel on the highway to the dealer. If my car is intermittent I would prefer to have it towed anyway due to safety.

Weird. I guess it depends on the HPFP and how it dies. I was doing 90 mph on the Katy Freeway with the HPFP limp mode haha.

lol

Yeah I had long starts for a few weeks.

Then I hit limp mode and was able to drive the mile or so home.

When I got home it would start then buck around and die.

Might look into that later.

Car is fixed and back in the garage.

I bought a new car this weekend so my 335i is now for sale.

Does the car need to be brought back to stock for them to honor the HPFP and Injector warranty?

I have DP's that I am worried about, the rest can be restored in less than an hour.

For the most part, yes. Mine was denied for being FBO.
