But you can't run 18psi. At least not until like 4,000rpm, your tune doesn't target more below that.
Just trying to find out how we can get full boost lower. Last edited by AaronZ34; 02-15-2016 at 12:53 AM.. |

I really don't understand your point because it's speculation based on one log you looked at. I can target any boost value I want. I could also demand more wgdc and keep it from coming out of spool until it hit peak boost, but that not how I tune.

Must have been why he removed it. Nice boost control after that glitch or whatever it was though.

Not sure what happened. I have never seen a log do that before and it's only in that one log. New maps have really came together well. Hit me up via email. I can send you one of the v6 maps to test. Would really appreciate your feedback.

I'm not sure which Wedge tune Ken put in my car but the feel is super smooth with less lag. Also my mileage is up to 28-29mpg on my daily 40 mile freeway commute. That's on a 6at xi.
I do get the benefit of running E10 92 octane from the pump though. Either way, I'm a complete believer in the Wedge tune. I don't see any need to run a piggyback. |

That's the first time I've heard that a Wedge tune increased gas mileage. I'm thankful to Ken and Dimitri for many things, but good gas mileage ain't one of 'em.

Hmmm Never actually checked the milage. I think its about the same as JB4. I can nitehr approve or deny it. Not really filling up any sooner than I usually do, if I keep my foot off the fun pedal, but then I dont think anyone actually got a tune for better gas milage. Unless you drive a Prius, in that case you probably dont even care about car stuff..lol

I actually drove my stock E92 to Seattle a few weeks ago and averaged 80 mph and was getting 26.5 mpg. So if he's only doing 65, it's highly possible. |

Misfires are common with tuning. Plugs and coils are common issues because no one changes plugs or coils until they tune and start having issues. Timing corrections can be caused by many things. Without looking at a long, it's hard to say. Most are due to fuel quality. |

I've put the keyboard on the engine and I'm just redlining it for the last 45 minutes! Can you see stuff yet?? When you said "drops," I pictured drips of fuel traveling through the internet for collection and analysis. You put on your science hat with springs and light bulbs popping out, and you're screaming (to an assistant somewhere behind you in the labyrinth of wires, colored tubes, and strobe light tunnels) "MORE FUEL! MORE FUEL!" pleading with me to send more fuel to collect in your contraptions.

I drive 70-75 on my commute. The only time my mileage really drops is if there is stop and go traffic. For the doubters, I drive 40 miles one way every day and 36 of those miles are freeway only. 2 miles are rural roads without stops. I only drive about 2 miles in a traditional urban setting. The only reason I note this is because my last tune from Ken gave great performance but the mileage was around 25-26 on each trip. The tweaks made to the new tune are noticeable and the power delivery is super smooth. MPG's aren't what the tunes are made for, but they are a nice byproduct. |
