Bluetooth calling issues

Hi Everyone,
I've been searching for this specific problem and cant seem to find a solution. I am new to the forum (and to my BMW!), so I apologize in advance if this is a common issue.

I was able to pair my Motorola Droid Turbo to my 2007 E92 last week. The phone recognized the car, the car the phone, etc. Once connected the radio was able to tell the phones cellular signal strength and allowed me to make calls.

When a call is placed, I only get sound playing out of the drivers side of the car. The call would connect fine, and the person on the other end can hear me clearly, but the sound that comes out of the car is horrible - almost robotic like. Its almost like the signal is fighting over something as it resembles a "harmonic" style pause/break in the sound 2-3 times a second.

HAs this ever happened to anyone else? If so, what was the fix? Could this be some sort of firmware upgrade from BMW that would need to be purchased or something more dire? Thanks!
