This is my first post, having taken delivery of a 2011 318d Sport Plus Edition saloon a few days ago.

Whilst I am loving the BMW experience, I do miss the extra power of my old Seat Leon FR 2.0TDI 170.

I am therefore considering a remap and have seen a few threads about what gains I could expect. However I would really appreciate any recommendations for reputable people in either the Nottingham or East Midlands area.

Congratulations on your new car!

I have the exact same car and have had mines remapped, have a look at my build thread for more info if you haven't read that one yet.



When I was researching BMW remaps, I narrowed it down the following two, both which have great reputation across forums for specialising in BMW's.

Ecotune (Scotland) and BW ChipTune (London area)

I know both are quite a bit out from Nottingham but I would encourage you to go for a reputable remapper who will actually create a bespoke map for your ECU - rather than these "affiliate" tuning companies who basically just load a stock map from a central DB and upload that to your car - no skill needed.

Thanks for the recommendations. I definitely want to go with somebody reputable, Glasgow is a bit of a stretch though! I have found Motor Master in Nottingham, a BMW specialist, so I will do some digging on them.

Ptorque in Wolverhampton have a great rep. in the BMW world. A friend of mine has had about 5 various BMWs done by will in the past and he says he wouldn't go anywhere else

+1 for ptorque. Iv had 2 cars done by him. 1 diesel 1 petrol. Has a rolling road also. So you get the before and after.
