Either way, looks to be of very good quality. For me personally though, I'd rather save $1,500 when I'm able to achieve a very comparable sound for far less.
I mean it's kind of similar..yours sounds closer to stock. Maybe it's just your mic. aFe has more popping and sounds more aggressive imo.

Also, I paid way less than $1,500 so I am not sure how would I be able to save $1,500 lol? Your custom exhaust consists of "a muffler delete, into Straight Pipes, connected to an "Elite Exhaust" (dual) and custom tips. The tips are custom & powder-coated black, as well as some of the piping." You're telling me that all that cost you $179?

When I first clicked the link, it said $1,800, now it says $1,600. Am I supposed to automatically assume it cost you 'way less'?

$1,800 - $1,500 = What I paid for my setup.

As for the sound, it's my phones mic. Sounds nothing like stock in person, but like I said--to me the video aFe provided sounds like that N55 has a downpipe. If it doesn't, it still sounds great, if it does, well that's why it sounds 'deeper'. Also, mine pops whenever I deliberately want it to while engaged in gear.

That's strange that it said $1,800 the first time. It always said $1,679 for black tips since December lol and I've been checking the availability of it almost everyday because I'm crazy. And you're not supposed to automatically assume that it cost me way less, however you automatically assumed that I paid full price and that you saved $1,500 compared to me. Anyways, I'm glad you like your exhaust sound. I wanted to try a brand new product and be one of the first to review it. So here I am

I didn't mean to imply you specifically, just in general. A general customer would probably pay that price (I assume, unless it gets even more discounted when placed into your online Cart). When something is listed at a certain price, logically that's what anyone would go by unless otherwise noted.

As for the price thing, maybe it has to do with our browsers cookies. It's my first time visiting the site, so it gave me full price--when I looked at it again it gave me a 'discounted price'? Works great on impulsive shoppers, "Wow, I just saved $235! I should buy it now!", that sort of thing. Either that or I'm just blind
Anyway though, I hope you enjoy the system and that it sounds as good if not better than the video provided by aFe!

I hope so too and I hope I won't be disappointed. I'm sure it will be better than stock at least. I will find out next Friday !

I don't get too caught up on a specific name brand. If it has the right sound, look, quality and price that's what fits the bill. Some people get caught up on the name too much. As I get older, I start modding the car for me and not to say I got a $5000 exhaust, you know what I'm saying? Enjoy YOUR car.

There are a few things going on here.

First and foremost, there are usually price changes between January and February in this industry. It's quite annoying for authorized dealers, so a price from Dec likely won't be the same in Jan/Feb.

Also, dealers for most products are allowed to list cheaper then the retailers as incentive to purchase.

So feel free to shop your authorized dealers, you'll find our prices cheaper then what AFE sells the same products for.

I started a review thread to specifically talk and review a new product that was released and that I purchased because I liked it and it sounded good to me. The actual price was never mentioned. I bought it because it was a perfect fit for ME. A few people commented about the price of it and stated their opinion about what they would rather have for the price of it etc. However, that wasn't the purpose of this thread. I didn't want to have a discussion about whether the price of it is good or not and what I should have done instead. And like I mentioned, the price stayed the same since the first day I checked it out to the day I received it. Checked everyday. Maybe it had something to do with the cookies idk. And yes, if anyone is interested in purchasing this or any other products, I recommend Jeff for all your needs! Great customer service.

Nice! Sounds good! It's probably very close to my taste.

Your have stock cat on right? How's the sound during WOT? Any drone?

The piping size looks quite big, I didn't read it but looks very smooth and the weld is nice... Now I want one lol!

Yeah it sounds nice. Yup everything stock except the exhaust. There is some drone around the 2.5k, just like with most aftermarket exhausts. It gurgles on downshifts too which is awesome.

I actually had an epiphany and decided this weekend that I am selling my car. I barely drive her so it's pointless keeping her and I need the money for school. Here is the post:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1228476

So I might be parting out and selling the exhaust for much less if anyone is interested lol.
