Spacers help
I guess this is a repost but I couldn't get any help in the wheels/tires section..so I apologize if I'm in the wrong section for spacers.
So I have been searching like crazy and reading so many threads about 10mm spacers being an issue in the rear and maybe even the front. I had H&R 10mm in the rear on my 2008 with aftermarket wheels and had no issues. Now I have 189's. So I just want to be sure before I order them again I'm getting the right ones. I do remember something about these. Can someone please point me in the right direction with this. Most of the threads I read said to just go to 12mm and be safe. I am sitting flush height and 10 is the max I can go without rubbing. I had only 5mm MS spacers on the front on my 2008 because the offset I had was pretty aggressive and that was with stretched tires. I had to trim down the bottom of the rear fender a lot to stop rubbing and I had the fenders rolled. I'm pretty sure I can get away with 10 now without rolling. And I also am not positive on the length of these bolts. I think they're 25mm. And I need conical seat?

I'm not even really sure what it is you're asking.
Super confusing original post if I'm honest. What was the offset of your aftermarket wheels? What are the offset of your current wheels? Without that info, no one can even begin to guess if a 10mm spacer will work. Why not bolt them on and try? Remove if you get any rub?

OK so I guess I assume you will know too much for me
So I have OEM wheels (189's). Don't know what the offset is. My issue is not that I'm trying to figure out what size spacer to get. It's just that in all my searching and reading through so many posts....I read a lot about people having issues with 10mm spacers on the rear. Maybe because of hubcentric/etc....so that what I was hoping you would just know all about that lol and give me specifics on it. I guess maybe I'll just call the vendors and see what they say. Sorry if this wasn't specific enough...

Hubcentric Fitments All BMWs use hubcentric wheels. When mounted to the car, the wheel rests on a lip instead of the wheel bolts or studs. The lip contributes to the strength of the wheel and the wheel cannot safely be used without a lip. The wheel bolts are not strong enough to support the weight and loads generated through the wheel. The lip is usually 9-10.5mm in depth and the new spacer must have its own lip. Turner and H&R Spacers with their own integrated hubcentric lip are: 10mm, 12mm, 12.5mm, 15mm, 18mm, 20mm, 25mm, and 30mm. * -- Note that H&R and Turner Motorsport each make a 10mm hubcentric spacer but due to interferences between the spacer and lip, it's best to leave this to specialized applications. See below for more detail. 10mm Fitment Notes You must be very careful when fitting 10mm spacers to any BMW. Since the depth of the hubcentric lip will vary, you risk bottoming out of the spacer before it sits flush with the hub. This will leave a gap between the spacer and the hub, seriously compromising the strength of the spacer. The lip on the car must be shaved down so the 10mm spacer will fit flush on the rotor hat. Hope this helps.

Yea I read that but I guess I was thinking I remember people telling me exactly which spacer to get. I had HR 10mm in the rear on my last one and no issues so I guess there's my answer. But I can't remember as far as hubcentric (or is there another centric)...and I only had 5mm in the front. But I had aftermarket wheels and more aggressive offset. I'm sitting lower right now and I don't think 12mm will work without rubbing. No way I'm getting 15 in front...
