How do you adjust damping for KW V2?

Just tried to adjust the damping on V2 for the front and found out the strut support is right there on the way. The allen wrench could not even fit in there to do the adjustment. So I was wondering if you have to remove the strut support in order to adjust it?

I just put an 11mm socket onto the strut bar nuts and removed them so I could push the bar 1/2" out of the way on each side so I could fit an allen wrench into the strut to adjust it. I couldn't fit an allen key in there any other way I tried.

Thanks for the quick reply. So 11 mm socket fits well on those star nuts? I do not have those start type socket so I really don't know what to do. I'll give it a try.

I just used a Torx bit that fitted the KW damper.

I have the kwv3s and noticed i have a black rubber cap on the top of the shock under the strutbar on the driver side and no cap on the passenger side. Did i lose one? do you need them so water and dirt doesnt get in there?

You should have one on each side.

I had an extra allen wrench of the same size in which I cut it in half so I could get it in there and turn it without having to remove the strut brace.

Ya, easy and cheap. My modified allen wrench is a perfect L shape. Big enough to grab, yet small enough to fit
