First time data-logging: misfires, ticking - if anyone has a minute...
So I got my bluetooth OBD dongle today and was playing around with torque and decided to run a couple reports just to see what info it pulled. As I was reviewing it I noticed a few misfires reported in 2 (5), 3 (1), 4 (4), 5 (2) & 6 (3) under "Misfire counts for last/current driving cycles(calculated)" - but the only cylinder that also had a misfire count under the second report "EWMA Misfire counts (average) for last 10 drive cycles" was cylinder 5 (1).
Okay, no biggie those numbers are low and I had just done a cold start that had some sputtering, no immediate concerns. Then I had to run out and did 2 hours of straight highway driving, no crazy pulls or WOT but I averaged probably ~75-80mph and got on it a couple times to pass. My temp stayed normal and the drive was smooth as can be. When I got home, my normal light ticking noise was considerably louder and I started hearing an intermittent ticking that was even louder. Unfortunately my stupid phone was attached to bluetooth on my car and I couldn't get a recording of it, but it sounded like this from a users post not long ago (sound happens only during first 3 seconds then stops, intermittent just like mine was). This is the first time I've had any odd noises since I got the car almost 3wks ago. I took it to BMW on the 6th for its last CPO checkup and they came back saying the car was "fantastically well taken care of, in great shape" and sent me on my way (big surprise). So I tried to pull codes using Carly (trial) and Torque and got nothing. I went inside and about an hour later came down with my cable and MHD to try to see if there were any shadow codes, again nothing. I ran the report in Torque again and saw a bunch more misfires specifically in cyl 5(34) I decided to try my first run of data logs (2nd to third pulls, WOT) and had as many of the sensors I thought mattered selected as I could. Now that my rant is over, can anyone take a look at these and give me some feedback? I legitimately know nothing about turbo engines or really cars that much in general (I'm a programmer/designer) but I'm trying to learn with this car so I can take care of it as much as possible. So far I've not done anything to the car except BMS DCI and cowl delete/cabin filters. I've got no clue what the injectors, plugs or coil packs look like or their condition but I know at almost 94k, if they weren't changed by the previous owner under CPO it's probably about time I did... just looking to see if there's anything else I may be missing/misunderstanding before I drop my first pile of cash into this girl. Log #1: http://datazap.me/u/rch/misfire-help?log=1&data=3-22 Log #2: http://datazap.me/u/rch/misfire-help?log=2&data=3-22 Torque report showing misfires (pre 2hr drive): View post on imgur.com Torque report showing misfires (post 2hr drive): View post on imgur.com I very much appreciate any and all input/advice/help. I've done as much learning as I can but at this point I'd much rather ask for some experienced eyes to look at this, especially with me ready to pull the trigger on my MHD tune, alpina, ppk and some coding.

Guess no one had a minute?
Sorry for the newb questions guys - but bump in case someone has a few to give my logs a quick look and let me know if there is enough info to determine anything or if I should re-do the logs with different parameters recorded. Thanks!

I've had misfires once, replaced the plugs and it went away. It's a cheap DIY to do and see if it solves the codes. Th ticking is weird, it's only for a little bit and then it goes away? My engine ticks a little bit too, specially when its cold. You only hear it when you walk around the front of the car. I've been told that's normal. The ticking in the first few seconds of your video is excessive tho and seems like something is off. How frequent do you hear it? Regarding the logs I'm not of much help, as I'm learning myself just as you are. Hope someone can help you out!

I get that ticking on occasion after a long drive (over an hour). It is off and on at idle, and goes away when you blip the throttle. I read in another post somewhere that it is my wastegates.

Since you're swapping out the plugs and coils, might as well get NGK's and gap it. As for ignition coils, I recommend Delphi or Eldor. I'm using Delphi right now. Quality and material is much better than OEM Bosch.
