Have you driven any M57 or N57 cars? If you do then i doubt you will want an M57. I found the N57 noticeable quieter and much more refined.
Yes I prefer the N57, hence why this particular car puts me off it being the M57. Do you mind me asking the year and mileage of your 330d that you purchased and was it m sport auto?

Its an M Sport manual which is what i wanted, I will be starting a build thread soon on it;

58 330d M Sport
79k
Pro nav
bluetooth
adaptive xenons
high beam assist
USB in armrest
Fully electric seats with memory
Front and rear PDC
Brushed aluminium trim

I would personally hold out for a N57 car.

Yes, I think I will hold out for the N57.

Correct me if I am wrong, I thought LCI's started in 2009?

I am actually torn between an LCI E90 vs 5 Series F10. Ive seen you can get a decent 525d F10 for under £15k.

The thing is I love how you car wrap a 3 series around a bend at speed, I am not sure if I would feel as confident doing so with a 5 series being a lot heavier and I would assume not as nimble...can anyone advise in that regard?

You can go to https://www.bmw-warranty.co.uk and enter the Reg to get the cars VIN, then enter the last 7 digits into http://www.bimmer.work and you get the full details of the car!

I also had a similar dilemma. As you say the 3 series is more fun to drive but the F10 is much more refined.

I think it will depend on your budget as you will not get a F10 for £10k. But given a choice i much rather have a F10 over a E90 if i was spending £13k+

Do you have the F10? What about 525d vs 530d, is there a lot of difference and what would you recommend? Thanks
