HKS BOV

I'm in need of some help. I just installed the HKS BOV kit from SP and I have a few questions. Is there a difference in when the blowoff valve activates if my car is an automatic? I don't seem to get the whoosh sound when I rev the engine like I see in videos of the BOV. I also don't get the whoosh sound when I drive, do I need to tweak it to make it louder? I have been driving for a day and I have not heard the whoosh sound yet. Does it sound like a install problem? Thanks for the input.

When you are revving the car in park, are you revving it fast up to around 5-6k rpm?

Not sure why you'd want to put it on an automatic in the first place. But there is no springs or tension screw to adjust the valve. The only way you hear it when you let off the throttle, try this, floor the car and then lift the foot off the pedal. When the throttle plate closes it'll ventilate back out to the BOV and you should hear it. If you don't hear it then you did something wrong

I'm not familiar with the autos, but you hooked up a vac source to it, right? I know it seems like a stupid question, but I just figured I would make sure.

Is it the HKS SEq BOV? if it is then you won't hear any whoosh.. its more like a sequence of chirping sound.

Even in an automatic you should hear it espeically if you are pushing it on the gas. everytime the car shifts it should release the pressure and of course when you let go the GAS.

Not sure what this comments means

"Not sure why you'd want to put it on an automatic in the first place"

You put it on there for the same reason as you would for a manual car.
