Power?
edit: I figured it out... the dyno guy didn't start my runs until over 4000rpms, thereby missing out on the low end torque since this car peaks well before that. Whew... glad to know my car isn't broken. Now I need to get another dyno done.

The 335i isn't meant to be a fast car, 296HP sounds about right for a stock car. I guess you could mod your car to give it more power but it wouldn't be anything drastic and would probably void your warranty.

That was his dyno with the SSTT installed. I would have crapped myself if I had read he put down 296 stock. |

looks about right to me. I mean, Turbo Tuner provides about 30whp. Considering that most 335 dyno around 270whp...almost 300whp sounds about right.

was this a dynojet with SAE or STD correction??.VBB your def right, the baseline is the real story here, if ur in the 260's stock this def makes sense. but could be the dyno and the correction method.

tho i see ur intentions^, if it wasnt on the same dyno on the same day its hard to compare the peak numbers. i once went to a dyno where my car suppose to make about 200WHP and it only made 165WHP.

you should go back to that same dyno and retest w/ the bypass plugs in to put down your baseline run. Its not difficult. I can take my bypass plugs in or out in under 2 minutes.
Its the only way you'll know really how much extra power your upgrades have given you.

Regarding HP, I think your car is putting down right about what it should with the SSTT. But your TQ number is really low. Remember SAE will show lower than STD (about 2-2.5% lower I think). With this in mind here are my STD Turbo Tuner dynos from when I had it installed and on 91 octane. 296.1 (1.025) = ~304 so right in line. Don't know what's going on with that TQ though.

SYD are not always higher. If the dyno is below sea level STD would be lower than SAE. Your quarter mile is good, it is the dyno. But your TQ does seem off, but without having a baseline tough to say where it is from. As well as what rpm did the operator start at. Peace.

vbb... that is EXACTLY it... that makes a LOT more Sense!!! Alot of times... places don't know how to dyno these cars... with the kick down and everything... it can be tricky... when I go to the dyno... they know, to let me do the pulls!
Good Stuff... later, Dave

lol that sucks. next time do the dyno yourself if u can. take all traction off ,just put it in 4th and push down until u feel the kickdown and just hold it there, dont pass the kickdown of course or it will drop u a gear.
btw how many runs did u do. im sure on another run or two, u could have got a easy 300+WHP and about 320+Wftlb |
