6 Cylinder Timing on E Series JB4 ISO

Been a long time coming, but Torr just helped Terry to add 6 cylinder timing to E Series N55 JB4 ISO. Help Terry test it out. The new Firmware is over on N54tech, v5_10 test1.

Did you DL it already? I'm going to update my JB4 tomorrow evening. I'm curious if it'll work good since it's still in testing procedures for the public.

5/10 is not in the normal ISO thread. There is a separate thread for 6 cyl timing where the test firmware was posted.

Can someone explain the benefits to me? Is it because you can log cylinder timing individually to provide more accurate tuning?

Being able to log timing on all six cylinders means the JB4 has a better view of how the engine is running, which should lead to stronger autotune maps, and a little more confidence when larger turbo guys start really pushing boost up with the new N55 port injection kits coming out.

Not to mention the ability to diagnose ignition related issues on a cylinder by cylinder basis!
