Dig. I was asking because with a downpipe period, it should be darn loud. Mine is ok until I get on it. At 3.2 k RPM the rules of what is acceptable to polite society fly out the window. With a 3.46 LSD 3 K RPM is 80 mph. At 80 I have that 10 mph speeding buffer. At that point I am humming along on the highway, ready to leap without downshifting.

PPK does make the car faster than stock by actually increasing the boost target and some other factors. One of the most attractive features is the exhaust note changes and gurgles/pops. You can run PPK+Cobb+JB4 as I do it now without a problem. PPK has to be installed first with JB4 on Map 0. Thereafter you can install or reinstall your Cobb. The Cobb will retain the exhaust notes of PPK but will change the performance based on whatever tune you flash via the Cobb

I have to download the older DME software version of the PPK 98G0B as the newer version (98G1B) released in Oct/Nov is not supported by Cobb. I'll love the exhaust notes from PPK and how it'll retain all the aspects. Should be done today or tomorrow evening

I want to hear it!
Edit: There are nearly no shops that will remove this around me.

I just had it installed. You have to un-install Cobb. FLash PPK with the DME version you have now. Then you can reflash your cobb with all of the exhasut aspects of the PPK. You're PTF tune will work as long as the PPK is flashed with your current DME software. You have to say what you want your DME as or he will flash to the most current which is incompatible with cobb

Yeah, contact joe at topgear. Tell him the ROM you have. You'll probably have to download a 5gb file
all worth it

guys this is an awesome thread! and the PPK sound! jeez! amazing.
so i just got a 2011 n55 e90, its been at dealer for 7 days unfortunately. i don't even have tags for it yet lol. I had a rough idle issue and they replaced the wiring harness and now the valvetronic motor so waiting to see what's going on with the car but after it is done...i would love to get the PPK done. they just updated all modules and dme software to the lastest version..idk the version number. but how much will ppk cost? what's the best cost effective way to get it done?

I had Joe@TopGearSolutions do my PPK flash. One of the best mods I have done so far. I love all the crackles and pops.
