CEL + Limp Mode After JB4 Connect Kit Installation! Please Help!!!
I had a JB4 previously installed in my car prior to adding on the connect kit to the car with no issues whatsoever, I purchased the JB4 Bluetooth Connect Kit Rev 3, Upon installation the car immediately threw a CEL as well as limp mode! I tried to delete the fault from using JB4 but no controls via the steering wheel nor the JB4 mobile app was responding. I rechecked every connector and still was a problem! I confirmed that power was being supplied (the app could find the JB4 but would not connect... Hardware Error) I even uninstalled the connect kit and the problem was still there and still no response from the steering wheel. Ultimately I uninstalled the entire JB4 unit and the still have check engine light. There's no more rough idle that limp mode usually gives you, However there isn't full power as well.
Does anybody know what needs to be done to address the issue??? The three pictures are the codes that were displayed. I cleared the codes 3x and each time I got some thing different and currently I just have the 2 codes present.

Make sure you have the correct firmware for the JB4 and bluetooth compatibility.
Double check the settings in the JB4 for bluetooth too. I'm not 100% sure but they need to communicate with each other and I'm pretty sure firmware is crucial. As always BMS deals with these questions and problem solving daily. I bet you they would have the answer a lot sooner for you. http://burgertuning.com/contact.html |

Contacted Burger Tuning and Sent Pics as well. Turns out the JB4 has water damage! However for the the car itself I believe the DME needs to be replaced as well! It's at the dealer now. But no worries because the car is CPO'd... Will update with final results about the car upon pickup!

Ok just got the car back from BMW it turns out to be that the TMAP sensor is bad... They did not change it under warranty due to I have it on my ER Chargepipe, however I'll put it back on the OEM Charge pipe and tack it back in the morning. In terms of the JB4 I'm not sure if that's what caused it not to respond to the app and steering wheel. So once I put on the new sensor I will check and just maybe my JB4 is still in tact and not water damaged as asssuned by Burger Tuning via pics...

Maybe you fried the TMAP sensor ground working with the wiring? In any event if you need addl help just contact BMS or post in the n54tech support area. Don't let the dealer dupe you in to buying a new DME.

The dealer just called me and told me they replaced the TMAP 3x and it still throws error codes. The computer seems to reading the sensor correctly however but it still says it's faulty which is weird. They tried clearing the codes as well and reprogramming the car. Still no luck. They believe it may come down to either replacing the computer or the harness...

According to Mike from N54 Tuning this may be the problem and I believe so due to the two codes I presently have are the exact same. http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showth...P+ground+trace However, with the JB4 installed I still have all the codes. I think the JB4 ground wire is faulty...
