Engine Temp higher with new exhaust?
Just wanted to see if this happened to anyone else. Recently did injen and ER Charge pipe with Tial BOV and car ran normal as always.. operates around 210. I just got a Borla exhaust installed last week and am starting to notice that it now operates around 230-240 and thats not even me driving it hard. I have a 2007 335i E92. No oil cooler. Anyone have any insight?

Wouldn't worry about it. Normal operating temperatures for me are 230-250. I have an oil cooler. Goes up to 260 if I push her hard but eventually settles back down.

Maybe ambient temperature is higher? Exhaust should have no impact on oil temp.
In winter (30-40 degree weather), I will typically see 210-220 in normal commute. In 60-70 degree weather, I'll see 230-240. And in 90+ degree summer weather, I'll see 240-250. That's with an AR Design oil cooler. I think you just installed the exhaust at the same time it's warming up. |

If it makes you feel any better I noticed higher EGT's after DP install...more flow.

yeah.. i just wanted to see if something was going wacky since i drove it all summer last year and it never peaked 210. i guess its nothing to worry about until i hit limp mode. I already have the oil cooler housing to do the retrofit buy haven't finished collecting all the parts for the cooler portion.

Not sure if its because of the new exhaust or whether it is getting warmer in your area but you are still within normal temps
