Best Option NYS inspection with catless setup
I am looking for the easiest solution to passing NYS emissions with 335i with
1) Install DP Fix with JB4 (ordered this today) 2) Turn off autocancel for JB4 3) Change JB4 to Map 0 5) drive car 30 miles 6) confirm no check engine light comes on 7) get car inspected This is right? Thanks Again, Chris |

I think you have it down. You may have to change the dials a bit w the fix or you may get lucky with the default settings. I recently passed with the same settings 5 o clock position on dp fix and I didnt even do the drive cycle, just pulled in put map0 good to go . I hope it works out for you good luck.

I installed the DP fix today and then started putting back together but didn't put last air duct plastic piece(with 6 screws), because I wanted to see if run good first. I removed JB4 autoclear and returned tune car stock mode. I now have a check engine light on. In the JB4, I believe in reading correctly I am getting a 2D20 error.. when the ODB2 reader from Advanced Autoparts I am getting a P114D. I did mess with DP fix setting because looked like came turned all the way one direction. So I by hand put about at the middle setting when installed it.
Any ideas on what could be the problem? Also will limp mode which currently in how let any boost to happen to protect the engine? Thanks, Chris |
