BT Tool Trans Adaptation Reset on Alpina Flash

Is it safe to run the reset transmission adaptations from BT tool if I have the alpina flash? I've ran it before the Alpina flash, but not sure if it's still OK to do or not?

Nevermind. In reviewing my notes, my last transmission adaptation reset with the BT tool was actually done AFTER my alpina flash, and it worked for me with great result, so I guess it's alright. Not sure why I remembered doing it the other way around, but for anyone looking, it seems like it's alright to do the reset if you have the alpina flash.

I lost my D/s (sport mode) after dealer programmed my car because of new HPFP and LPFP sensor

Checked all wiring in the shifter assembly everything is good.

Would BT TOOL reset my alpina flash to bring back sport mode?

No, you wouldn't be able to get it back unless you re flash it. Dealer flashed everything back to stock after new FRM module too.

FWIW I lost sport mode a little while back out of the blue. It was due to the wiring in the shifter. When you push the stick into sport mode it puts pressure on an internal cabling harness which can eventually have connection issues. It was a relatively easy fix to reroute the cable and get back sport mode. Luckily there weren't broken cables yet in my case but I was prepared to solder extensions if needed. There's a how to somewhere around here for diagnosing and fixing the issue and apparently it's pretty common. This could be what happened to you? If not, sorry but I don't know how to bring back sport mode with programming.

Yeah there were three wires visually that were slightly cut. I took most of the stuff apart like mentioned in the video. Maybe it is something internal. I'm off to the dealer next week so we will see what wrong. Soldered and heat shrikes three wired in total
