E93 Suspension & chassis discussion
Hello, I am interested about your cabrio's suspension and chassis mods.
So what have you done or will be doing later to your car and what is your feeling about these mods? When I get my new car (E93 335i) I will make these handling mods, LSD (Quaife) KW variante 1-3 (not sure which) and H&R sway bars any idea what my car would be like after these mods compared to the "basic car"? What another mods we have to upgrade your handling or performance(not engine or another that kind mod)? It would be nice to have one thread where would be all mods for the cab so people would find answer to the question they have fast. |

I've ask these questions too, but there doesn't seem to be enough interest in the E93 community. With a few exceptions, it seems the enthusiast drive the E90's & E92's & the commuters or posers drive the E93's.
I plan on doing these suspension mods to my E93 also, I'll let you know which route I take.

Other Mods, could be strut bars, Control arms, camber plates, shock mounts, if Cabrio guys could - CF roof would be bigest mod you could do in terms of suspension in my opinion, basically putting your car on a diet - brakes/wheels/battery/seats etc are all going to enhance your suspension & chassis.
One of the guys here in the office also said - you could also do Foam Chassis mod ( it decreases torsional movment of you chassis) - but to many drawbacks with it. |

Of course you can't ever make E93 handle and go like E92(modded) at least with reason in spending on upgrades. My main target is to make my E93 as fast and good at corners and straight as stock E92 (with sport package). Any better handling car would probably cost very much( cf roof, hood etc.) |

I'm in on this too, got some Hartge Roll bars on their way (sway bars)
My e93 already has a strut bar, runs from the top of the front shock tower back in a v to the centre point under the windscreen - I assume this is unique to the e93 then ? Looking for a donar pre 07 diff now to do my quaife mod. What Kevin B has been saying is that basically the e93s MAY come with a modified 1 series diff for some reason. Not sure which build models so no confirmation on this yet. SJ |

Don't know about that sturt bar thing. Any pic? Kevin did send me an diff but it was for 335i cuope and didn't match with vert. So now I am sending my diff to him and he is confident that he can make it work when he see the thing. I hope my diff leaves here in this week or at least beginning of next week. So probably there will be solution for all verts after he sees mine. Verts diff is definetly smaller than coupes. |
