phone pairing help
I've been using a Treo 650 for over a year in my e92. Recently it doesn't connect over bluetooth. I can delete the pairing and pair the phone with the car but it doesn't connect to make calls or transfer the phonebook (favorites list for Treos). There is no antennae or phone icon in iDrive anymore. About 5 times after the car is started the car & phone try to connect but its not successful.
No updates happened in the car or phone when the connection stopped occurring a few days ago. I drove the car without the phone one day and it appeared like the iDrive phone was in the middle of a call - even though no phone was in the car. I cancelled that "call". Now when I bring my phone in the car it doesn't connect (show icons or perform phone functions) - but it is paired (in the settings menu). The dealership was able to connect & make a call using their phone. I am able to use a bluetooth headset with my Treo 650. Does anyone have suggestions on why my phone will no longer connect with the car? Thanks in advance for the advice. |

Although this might sound very simple, try resetting your phone. Take the battery out, and turn it back on. It could be a malfunction with the phone itself.

Unfortunately I have tried resetting the phone (soft reset & powering on/off). If I cannot find a solution I will attempt a hard reset - wipe out all data on the phone.
I still think its the car and not the phone since I saw the car making a phantom phone call when no phone was in the car. After that the phone was never able to connect with the car. Thank you for the help. I will give a hard reset a try if no one else has suggestions to try first. |
