Wheels and spacers questions
Hi guys, so I purchased a set of wheels and spacers for my car but the wheels did not come with lug bolts, and the stock bolts do not fit the new wheels because the holes are to small for the acorn style bolts to fit. Anyways I was looking online for solutions and the only bolts I found that would fit, were tuner lug bolts but I couldn't find any that were long enough to accommodate my spacers and wheels. I have 20 mm spacers and I would need 2 inches of thread on the bolts, but all the ones that I found were only 1 inch of thread.
I don't know if it's possible, but if I was to attach the spacers to the car, and then attach the wheels to the spacers would it be stable enough to work? I would use 1 inch bolts to attach the spacers and the car and then use the other 1 inch one inch bolts to attach the wheels and the spacers. Basically together I would have 40 bolts. I feel like that's not possible and it seems unsafe, but I do not know much about wheels so excuse my ignorance. Anyways let me know what you guys think I should do. Thanks for any responses! |

if you use spacers, you need extended bolt for your specific spacers.
Also, for your wheel, are the wheels for 5x120mm? or it is 5x114.3mm?? FYI, e90 uses 5x120mm. Good luck, hope you didn't get the wrong wheels |

that's weird. most aftermarket wheels should fit oem bolts.
what brand are the wheels? are the wheels new or used? if used, are they off from another bmw, too? similar issue as this? http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1213782 |

Then I think you need some extended tuner lug bolts.
Make sure you get extended one to make your wheel secured since 20mm is a lot. My friend suggests you to go to local wheel store and ask to confirm. They might have some for you to test fit the lug hole. Hope this helps. Good luck. |

I asked a lot of wheel/tire stores and also went to advanced auto parts, autozone, pepboys, and even Walmart but none of them had any tuner ones. Online, I found tuner bolts but I couldn't find extended ones, only 1 inch ones. My last resort would be to just leave the spacers out, but if you guys find any extended ones online, I would really appreciate it if you could send me a link or just post it here. Thanks in advance!

I searched a bit and yea, you are right. can't find anything as extended tuner lug bolts
I think you can still go for the lug conversion, so you can use the tuner lug nuts. |
